A4: Please visit our website at www.leadingage.org/AnnualMeeting to view the session descriptions. Note: the Annual Meeting brochure includes a session listing, but does not include session descriptions. Check the 'Education Program' tab on the website to search education sessions, speakers, etc.

Please Note: Discounted registration fees are
available for full-time students and professors affiliated with an academic
institution as well as LeadingAge provider members in financial hardship
situations. See

approved (or not) - at which time you’ll receive registration instructions.
Q6: What is included with the Annual Meeting full registration?
A6: Access to the Deep Dive Workshops (Sunday), Education Program (Sunday – Wednesday), General Sessions (Sunday – Tuesday), Member Site Visits (Monday, Tuesday) and EXPO including lunches (Monday – Wednesday).

Q7: How may I reserve a hotel room?
A7: Hotel reservations can be made online at www.leadingage.org/AnnualMeeting while registering for the Annual Meeting. Beware of Room

Member/Non-Member Verification As you register, if you believe your membership status is incorrect, you will have an option to check the box (see screenshot below) in your login profile page to notify LeadingAge. You may continue registering and complete your registration while we get back to you.

Q9: I would like to register several people for the Meeting, is there a group registration policy?
A9: If you would like to register as a group, please find this information on our website at: www.leadingage.org, in Step 2 you will be prompted to click on one of the following:
I want to register myself.
I want to register a group.
I want to register myself and a group.
Please click on the one that applies to you and you will automatically be directed to the correct registration site.
Q10: I want to register online. Do I have to pay for my registration now?
A10: Yes, payment is due at the time of registration. Online registration requires a credit card. If you prefer to pay by check please complete a registration form and send with your check to: LeadingAge Registrar, c/o Showcare Event Solutions, 1200 G Street NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20005-6705. Checks must be in USD and made payable to: LeadingAge.
Q11: How can I cancel my registration?
A11: Please send cancellations by e-mail to LeadingAge@Showcare.com or fax at +1 (514) 289-9844.

Q12: Can someone else attend in my place?
A12: If you register and then are unable to attend, you may send someone in your place at no additional charge. Substitutions to registration or hotel reservations must be submitted in writing to LeadingAge@Showcare.com or by fax at 514-289-9844. A letter must originate from the original attendee and/or company in order to process. Please complete a registration form for the individual who will be replacing you. Email or fax in advance to save time, the completed form along with written notice authorizing the substitution to LeadingAge@Showcare.com or 514-289-9844.
Q13: Will I receive my badge before the meeting?
A13: Badge will be mailed if you have registered and paid in full by September 15. Please make sure to use the address where you want the badge to be mailed.
Q14: How can I request special assistance?
A14: If you require assistance, please indicate it on the registration form. Further inquiries can be directed to LeadingAge at 1-866-898-2624 option 2.
Q15: What is the hotel cancellation policy?
A15:
All cancellations received between
September 2 and October 20 will be charged $125 processing fee by the housing
bureau. You can make hotel changes via fax at (514) 289-9844, email LeadingAge@Showcare.com or online by
accessing your account. All hotel changes and cancellations must be made in
writing (email, fax or letter) to the Housing Bureau no later than 9am Eastern
Time, October 20, 2016. Changes on or after October 21, 2016 should be made
directly with the hotels and will be made on a space-available basis.
Any cancellations received on or after October 21 are subject to one night's
room and tax penalty (to be charged by the hotel).
Q16: If I make my hotel reservation directly with the hotel can I still receive the LeadingAge conference rate?
A16: All hotel reservations must be made through the
LeadingAge Housing Bureau to receive the LeadingAge conference rate. You
can make a hotel reservation with your registration via fax at +1 (514) 289-9844,
email LeadingAge@Showcare.com or
online by accessing your account.
Q17: Is there a shuttle from the hotel to the convention center?
A17. All hotels are within walking distance. No
shuttle service is provided.
Q18: Do I have to pay a deposit for my hotel reservation?
A18: One night deposit may be charged on the credit card on file by the hotel prior to check-in. Please verify these charges directly with the hotel on or after October 21, 2016.
Q19: Does the hotel rate include tax?
A19: Hotel rates do not include 17% tax. Some hotels may also attach additional surcharges.
Q20: My hotel choice is sold out. Can I be added to a waitlist?
A20: No hotel waitlists are available.
Q21: What is the hotel reservation deadline?
A21: September 2, 2016. After the deadline, reservations will be accepted based on availability and LeadingAge's convention rate cannot be ensured.
Q22: I am an exhibitor. How do I register myself and other staff?
A22: Please use the exhibitor registration form to register, and NOT the ‘Attendee’ LeadingAge registrant form. You will see a button on the ‘Registration’ page at www.leadingage.org/AnnualMeeting which will say ‘Exhibitor’ registration. Q23: What is "Be the Difference Service Project"?
A23: You make a difference every day in the lives of older people. Help us make a difference in Indianapolis. An estimated 1.7 million Americans need wheelchairs, but many don't have the resources to purchase one. Come help us assemble wheelchairs Sunday morning for those in need. Bond with friends, old and new, as you make Indianapolis a better place to call home. This activity will take place on Sunday, October 30 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Please sign up when you register. Q24: What is "Energize Your Morning"?
A24: Too much sitting? Ready to Move? Want to Connect? Join us for morning activities designed for all skill levels Monday and Tuesday morning at 6:30 a.m. Choose one activity each day - either an outdoor run/walk, indoor aerobic activity or indoor yoga/stretching. Sign up for one or both days when you register. If you have registered for this activity, please stay tuned for location and more details via e-mail by mid-October.
Q25: What is the Wellness Challenge?
A25: Show how dedicated you are to managing your personal health by participating in our Wellness Challenge. Have fun and get healthy with daily goals in key areas of wellness – physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and social – every day.
